The mission of the Association is to support the University of North Carolina Greensboro by conducting activities in furtherance of the University’s mission; to facilitate social and professional ties among retired faculty; to assist UNCG and its retirees in continuing mutually beneficial relations; and to educate the public and state government with respect to issues concerning education, the UNC system, and the UNCG campus. The Association will work with the Provost and the Faculty Senate to further these aims. The Association shall have the privilege and right to collect and disseminate data, statistics, and other information, and to develop its own position and recommendations regarding relevant University matters and matters pertaining to higher education in North Carolina.
Our ARF Board has identified a number of ways for our members to stay connected to the University and provide some much-needed service as mentors, committee members, and/or short-term instructors. Our plan is to update and post these opportunities on our website each fall. We hope members will consider participating in some of the following roles.
